6-7th June 2006
On the 6th and 7th of June, Friends of Gledhow Valley Woods Core Group Member Mike Betteridge represented the Group by giving talks to children at Oakwood library. He discussed the Friends Group, litter picking, and health and safety issues. The talks were well received by three groups of varying ages.
Mike answered lots of questions from the children who were very interested and enthusiastic. Leaflets about the Group and BBC Springwatch were given to each of the children.
The pictures below show Mike giving the talks, together with Bernadette from Leeds Libraries (who organised the talks), and children from St. John's School, Roundhay.
