Discovering the Medicinal Plants of Gledhow Valley Woods
Local Herbalist Donald Purves led two walks in May (on the 20th and 22nd) from Gipton Spa Bath House on Gledhow Valley Road, to coincide with Traditional Western Herbal Medicine Awareness Week 18-25 May 2007.
The photographs below were taken by Mike Betteridge during the second walk, which was attended by around two dozen people. Everyone enjoyed Donald's interesting and informative talk, and there was a lot of positive feedback.
Donald is a Member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and practises Herbal Medicine in the area.
